168. STRESSED & ANXIOUS? Do this ONE Thing TODAY to feel Calmer Faith Friday

Are you feeling stressed and anxious today? There is something you can do about it right now to help you feel calmer.

There is a LOT to be stressed about in this world. Tons.  Turn on the news or socials and it smacks you in the face.  The world is screaming at us to stay in a stressed and high alert place while they promote self soothing tactics that really don’t soothe much after all.
But this keeps us in a sympathetic dominate response (fight, flight or freeze) instead of the Para-sympathetic dominate response (rest and digest).

 The reality is that at the end of all we may try, the stress is still there, the anxiety is still there and we don’t feel any better than when we started.

Binging Netflix, scrolling socials, “treating” ourselves to foods that we know we will end up regretting because it doesn’t really make us feel good… On and on and on. 

When it all makes us feel so overwhelmed sometimes we forget WHO we can turn to.

If you are feeling stressed and anxious today you need to grab a mug of tea, your bible and a cozy blanket (who doesn’t love a cozy blanket?)  and settle in so that you can begin to feel calmer right now.   
We need to get out of our own head, out of the noise of the world and SEEK the ONE who provides ALL things. 

This will bring you physical, mental, emotional AND spiritual benefits. You will feel calmer and less stressed and anxious.
